Staging statewide Mahadharna against the failure of Congress Government in delivering its promises, Bharatiya Janata Party on Saturday put the incumbent Congress in the dock. At every district head-qaurter, senior BJP leaders led the state-wide Mahadharna and highlighted the failures of Congress government. In the capital, the Mahadharna was led by BJP National Vice-President Dr Raman Singh, former Ministers Brijmohan Agrawal and Rajesh Munat along with Raipur District President Rajiv Kumar Agrawal, Srichand Sundrani, Sanjay Srivastava and large numbers of party office-bearers and workers. Addressing the gathering, BJP National Vice -President Dr Raman Singh was highly critical of the incumbent Bhupesh Baghel led Congress government.

He said in last six months since the Congress government came to power, it has set two examples before the state which are very unfortunate. He said people had blessed his government for 15 long years and his government had worked honestly to meet their trust and aspirations. Chhattisgarh which was a bimaru state, was brought to the fore-front. However, the incumbent Congress government has completely failed to meet the expectations and trust of people with which they were given the reins of government. He said by luring people with intriguing promises and slogans, the Congress had come to power but today it is marred with failing promises.

Dr Singh said “he can state with complete confidence that state is being governed by ‘Looteron Ki Sarkar’. Situation has become so worse that anarchy is prevailing all around. With the new government taking reins, transfer postings have taken shape of industry, surplus power state has plunged into darkness, farmers are being tricked while unemployed youths and women are deceived. All development works have come to a stand-still in State. Dr Singh said that his government had fought Left Wing Extremism and had almost had eradicated menace from State, but now the advent of Maoists have begun again.

He said it is being heard that Naxal sympathisers have even become a part of government machinery. People have very well understood the situation and had given befitting reply to Congress in the Lok Sabha elections. Former Minister Brijmohan Agrawal while coming down heavily on the Congress government said that government has failed in every front. He said by making promise of loan waiver, the Congress has cheated the farmers.

The farmers today are striving even for fresh agriculture loans, forget loan waiver. They were even kept deprived of quality seeds, fertiliSers and today farmers are feeling deceived. In the name of liquor ban, the Congress government has increased time of sale, increased numbers of counters as well as brand availability. Unemployed youths, Mitanins, Anganbadi workers are also suffering as promises made to them are yet to be fulfilled. Present during the Maha dharna were Gulab Tikhria, Srichand Sundrani, Sanjay Srivastava, Changganlal Mundra, Channi Verma, Lakshmi Verma, Meenal Chaubey, Liladhar Chandrakar, Rukmani Verma, Rajesh Pandey, Sachin Meghani, BJP State General Secretary Pawan Sai, Deojibhai Patel, Chandrashekhar Sahu, Ashok Bajaj, Ambika Yadu, Naveen Markande, Praful Vishwakarma, Mohan Anty, Lokesh Kawadia, Sanjay Didhi, Nalinesh Thokne, Manoj Prajapati, Satyam Duba, Hemendra Sahu, Bajrang Khandelwal, Jayanti Patel, Onkar Bais, Subhash Tiwari, Mohan Uparkar, Shyama Mukherjee, Amarjit Chabda, etc.
