Computer Baba, others raid Narmada bank, stop illegal sand excavation

Narmada Nyas, in-charge Computer Baba started a special campaign to check illegal mining of sand from Narmada river
Computer Baba, accompanied by senior administrative, mining and police officers, conducted raid at the bank of river Narmada at Sankal Ghat in Narsinghpur district. Team seized poke-lane machine and dumpers at Sankal Ghat, but the persons engaged in illegal excavation of sand managed to escape from the spot. It may be noted that, Narmada Nyas, in-charge Computer Baba started a special campaign to check illegal mining of sand from Narmada river. He already conducted surprise inspection at several spots, but failed in finding illegal mining.
During the special campaign, Computer Baba accompanied by senior officers of District Administration, Mining Department and Police Department reached at Sankal Ghat and found that unidentified persons were engaged in illegal excavation of sand from Narmada river.
Witnessing the police team, accused managed to escape from the spot, but police team seized a poke-lane machine and dumpers from the spot. District Mining Department, Narsinghpur registered a case under relevant sections of the Mining Act, while further investigations are underway to identify and apprehend the persons engaged in illegal sand excavation in Narmada river.
