Heavy rains warning for parts of State; Bhopal to witness thundershowers

In last twenty-four hours, showers were witnessed in many areas including Shadol, Ujjain, Indore and Rewa, Bhopal, Hoshangabad and Jabalpur divisions. Weather Department has issued heavy rains warning for Anuppur, Dindori, Jabalpur, Katni, Singrauli and Shahdol. Maximum temperature recorded at Bhopal has come down to 38 degrees Celsius on Saturday which was five degree above normal and minimum temperature recorded was 28 degrees Celsius which was two degree above normal. Wind velocity recorded was 20m per hour. For next 24 hours sky will remain cloudy with chances of thunder showers at isolated places. Rainfall recorded at Jetahari was 7 cm, Amarkantak 6 cm, Sailana 5 cm, Sadarpur Annupur 4 cm and Khategaon recorded 3 cm.
 
The temperature fluctuations were witnessed at many places. Maximum temperature at Chambal range increased and Hoshangabad division also witnessed change in temperature. Gwalior and Sagar divisions witnessed temperature less than the normal range. Maximum temperature was recorded at Hoshangabad at 42 degrees Celsius. Bhopal, Dapehpar, Rajgarh recorded 1 cm rainfall, Raisen Pachmarhi, Sailana, Raheli, Damoh recorded 2 cm rainfall.
 
Thundershowers warning has been issued at many places including Chhindwara, Jabalpur, Mandla, Balaghat, Narishnpur, Seoni, Katni, Panna, Sagar etc. Due to the low pressure area in the North-East Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal, rain-related activities will be witnessed in many parts of the State. The humid climate in morning suddenly changed into pleasant weather in afternoon when all of sudden showers started at noon hours which continued till evening.
 
Pre-monsoon showers also brought respite to heat waves which was persistent for a few weeks especially in Damoh, Betul, Tikamgarh, Shivpuri, Singrauli. Due to the moisture coming from the Arabian Sea, the pre-monsoon activity has increased in the State. Maximum temperature recorded at Indore was 36.7 and minimum temperature was recorded at 27.4. Maximum temperature recorded at Gwalior was 39.3 degrees Celsius which was one degree more than the normal range and minimum temperature was recorded at 26.5 degrees Celsius. Jabalpur recorded maximum at 36.5 degrees Celsius which was three degree above the normal range and minimum was at 29.6 degrees which was two degrees above the normal.
