CM Kamal Nath calls on youth to become Jal Doots

Water Cell formed at State-level n Save water campaign to be conducted with co-operation of youth
 
Water conservation works to be done with people’s suggestions and participation
 
 
WATER conservation works will be done with suggestions and participation of people. A Water Cell has been formed at State-level. Responsibility of Water Cell has been entrusted to officer of secretary level. Common people can give their suggestions for water conservation. In his message to people of Madhya Pradesh, Chief Minister Kamal Nath has appealed them to save water and to share their experiences and suggestions to develop new water sources. He said that youth will be entrusted with the responsibility of water conservation works by forming Yuva Shakti Committees and a big movement will be started. He urged youth to become Jal Doots. Nath further said that Water Cell will work to decide strategy towards water conservation works and its judicious use. He stated that all works of water conservation and increase of water sources in the State will be done as per suggestions and participation of people of the State now. Moreover, the Chief Minister said that water is elixir of life.
 
Without water we cannot survive. Hence, it is necessary that youth play an important role in water conservation works. He urged youth that they should work as Jal Doot. We can use water judiciously by saving every drop with innovative ideas, perspective and passion. He exhorted youth that wherever they are, whatever work they are doing, they should spread awareness about water conservation among all sections of the society in their respective areas. They should give their maximal contribution in works to save water.
 
Do plantation on a large scale: Chief Minister Kamal Nath said that drought is a natural calamity. Nobody has control over it but people have courage and strength to tackle drought. Therefore, we can face this crisis successfully by working towards water conservation. He further mentioned that we all have to do necessary works together to stop rain water in village itself during this monsoon. Instead of big schemes, we will have to do small but important works related to ponds, check dams, percolation ponds on farms ponds, construction of boundaries and well recharge together in rural areas at local level. Do plantation on a large scale, water them and also protect them. The Chief Minister urged big farmers of the State that they themselves should do works of ponds and ground water recharge at their own cost at their own farms to conserve water.
 
Moreover, Kamal Nath said that sufficient funds has been arranged in various government schemes for water conservation by the State Government. Panchayat and public representatives must work towards water conservation on priority on a large scale actively and vigilantly in their respective areas. The Chief Minister has urged all the Members of Parliament and Members of Legislative Assembly that they should use their fund for water conservation works. Kamal Nath expects that every individual will work with commitment and dedication in the campaign being conducted to make Madhya Pradesh, a water abundant state.
