Govt should ensure justice to all: Arvind Shrivastava

Deputy Secretary of MPSLSA Arvind Shrivastava informed that MPSLSA provides free of cost legal aid to weaker sections of the society, economically weak, helpless and victims.
 
The programmes and schemes are implemented through four-level arrangement
 
 
Deputy Secretary, Madhya Pradesh State Legal Service Authority, Arvind Shrivastava, on Saturday said as per Section 39 (A) of the Indian Constitution, it is the duty of the Government to ensure that no citizen, due to economic or other ineligibility, is deprived of getting justice. He must be provided with best legal service on the basis of equal opportunity. Addressing a press conference, Shrivastava said, MPSLSA provides free of cost legal aid to weaker sections of the society, economically weak, helpless and victims. He said, eligible persons are benefitted through schemes and programmes being implemented under Legal Services Scheme. Shrivastava said, MPSLSA organises Lok Adalats, legal services camps and other schemes to provide optimum benefits to the beneficiaries.
 
The Deputy Secretary of MPSLSA further said the Authority provides free of cost legal service through Family Dispute Redressed Centre, District Legal Counselling Centre, Legal Aid Advocate in Magistrate courts, Legal Aid Clinic, Woman and Child Protection Unit Programme, Crime against Labours- Cell Programme and Mediation Programme. Likewise, it redresses cases through mutual consent amongst the parties through annual and monthly National Lok Adalat, Mega Lok Adalat, Permanent and Continuous Lok Adalat, Jail Lok Adalat, Mobile Lok Adalat, Family Woman Lok Adalat and disposal of cases through Plea-bargaining process.
 
Similarly, the Madhya Pradesh State Legal Service Authority also works for Legal Literacy. It organises Legal Literacy and Awareness camps, Small Legal Literacy camp, Dispute less Gram Yojana and publicity programmes. Shrivastava informed that, the programmes and schemes are implemented through four-level arrangement. Madhya Pradesh State Legal Service Authority organises programmes at State level, High Court Legal Service Committee works at High Court level, District Legal Service Authority at District level and Tehsil Legal Service Committee at Tehsil level and leaves no stone unturned to provide due benefits to eligible beneficiaries.
