All the Government, Government-aided and private schools reopened after the end of summer vacations on Monday with fresh start and great enthusiasm. The Government schools witnessed second phase of School Chale Hum campaign. Pravesh Utsav was organised in the schools where the children were welcomed by putting up tilak on forehead by the teachers. A special programme was organised at Model Higher Secondary School, TT Nagar, where School Education Minister Dr Prabhuram Choudhary inaugurated the programme by ringing the school bell.

A model of Government Primary School, Begamganj, was displayed. It is that school where minister had his primary education. Minister applied tilak on the forehead of the students and distributed course books to the students and welcomed Divyang students to the school. On this occasion, 23 principals whose schools excelled in the board examinations were also felicitated. A few fun activities were also organised for the students which were enjoyed by the students. The minister instructed to complete the process of distribution of uniform and cycle by this month itself so that it would not create any inconvenience to the students.

Addressing the programme, School Education Department Principal Secretary Rashmi Arun Shami said “Only enrolling the students to the schools will not improve the education system instead there is need to pay heed over quality of education. School Management Committee members have to look after the home work and copies of students every week. Parent-Teacher meeting will also be reviewed by higher officials.”
