Jabalpur Smart City Project completes 4 years

Improving the quality of life by using technology to drive economic growth and enhancing the efficiency of services as a smart solution to meet the needs of local residents, remained the basic objectives behind Smart City Project. Fortunately, with honest and sincere efforts made by Jabalpur Smart City Project Limited with Jabalpur Municipal Corporation (JMC) with the co-operation of Jabalpur residents, we have almost touched the set targets to develop the city as a lighthouse by enhancing infrastructural and other facilities and improving its visual impact, shared G S Nagesh, Chief Executive Officer, Jabalpur Smart City Project Limited. CEO, Smart City Project, Nagesh was addressing a press conference called on Tuesday, marking the completion of four years of Smart City Project in Jabalpur. Extending his gratitude towards the city dwellers for their support, CEO, Nagesh said that, we all have witnessed transformation of our city during last four years, which would have remained an unfulfilled dream without locals’ support.
 
The CEO added that multi-level car parking at Manas Bhavan, solar power plant at Lalpur, Ramnagra and Kathonda, development of incubation centre, 22 smart classrooms with wi-fi facility in five schools run under JMC, command and control centre (hardware and software), launch of mobile application and web portal for tourism, development of Gulaua Tal, command and control centre (civil works) and construction of multi-level car parking at Civic Centre are few of the ambitious projects, which were practically achieved under Smart City Project in Jabalpur. Nagesh further informed that, Public Bicycling Sharing (PBS) project is being operated under Public Private Partnership in which 100 pbs stations are being developed in the city, where nearly 1,000 bicycles will be available for locals. ICCC (Integrated Command and Control Centre) developed at ISBT, Intelligent Traffic Management System, multi-level parking, cultural centre at Ghantaghar, preservation of buildings of archeological importance, development of NMT Corridor and development of smart roads in the city are the other targets, which are being achieved under the project.
