Kingpin of intl gang involved in crypto currency business held

STF has arrested a man who is kingpin of international gang involved in business of prohibited crypto currency. This international gang has duped thousands of people to the tune of crores of rupees and invested ill gotten money in properties apart from spending on luxuries. Kingpin of gang was held along with his wife from Jabalpur. Further investigation is underway to arrest other gang members.
 
The network of gang members is spread in India and foreign countries including Hong Kong, China, Dubai, Malaysia etc. The names of held accused are Brajesh Raikwar (36) and his wife Seema (36), both residents of Jabalpur. Addressing the press conference, Special DGP of STF Purshottam Sharma and ADG Ashok Awasthi told that gang earned in crores of rupees in the name of crypto currency like Bitcoin, Gold Union Coin etc. So far, this international gang has duped thousands of people. The ill gotten money was spent for luxuries and even in properties like land, houses, shops, casino of Goa etc.
 
Money has been also invested in Hong Kong, Dubai, Thailand, Malaysia, China, Singapore etc. Even investment has been done in a movie. So far, STF is having information of investment done by gang in Bhopal, Jabalpur and Chhattisgarh. Hong Kong-based Kevin and Malaysia-based Daniel Francis are also connected with this gang. Accused even did agreement with Bangalore and Jaipur-based firms to create website for plus gold and union coin. The complainants told to police that PGUC (plus gold union coin) company is based in Hong Kong and enrolled with c.cex.com. A person named Rajeev Sharma informed the complainants that in multilevel marketing based business, Brajesh Raikwar and Rupesh Rai are promoters and crypto currency is being sold in world market heavily. Along with Rajeev Sharma, Rupendra Pal Singh, Vineet Yadav etc are associated and are partners. After the closure of c.cex.com exchange in December 2017, accused transferred crypto currency of PGUC company into Bitstrade exchange and entire data was shifted to Jaipur based server.
 
The Bitstrade exchange was later found to be fake. When value of crypto currency crashed, investors got panicked. Accused fraudulently hiked the value of currency to continue duping with people. When Brajesh came to meet his wife, he was held along with his wife. In the account of his wife, details of Rs 3 crore to Rs 4 crore was found. Some suspects have been zeroed in and one suspect was located in Jaipur but he managed to move away. Investigation is underway to arrest all those who were benefitted directly or indirectly. The number of accused could even reach 100. It is fathomed that investment in properties by accused could be till Rs 100 crore. Further investigation is underway to reach till bottom of case.
