Labour Department has detected anomalies in the beneficiary list of Sambal scheme that came into existence during previous BJP regime. Now, Labour Minister Mahendra Singh Sisodia has ordered thorough probe to remove ineligible beneficiaries. After survey results, action would be taken and even guilty officials will not be spared. Addressing the press conference, Labour Minister Mahendra Singh Sisodia told that when BJP was in power in State, Sambal scheme was launched for labourers.

At that time, survey done by Labour Commissioner found that ineligible persons were also added into the beneficiary list but then BJP government sat on that survey report and no action was taken. Even the file related to scheme is missing now. “Even in the investigation done at my own level, I found that ineligible persons were also included as beneficiary of Sambal scheme and ineligible beneficiaries included BJP workers.

I wrote to CM and requested to filter the entire scheme which is now known as Mukyamantri Jan Kalyan Naya Sabera (Sambal) Scheme,” told Mahendra Singh Sisodia. He added that as per his estimation, out of 2.20 crore beneficiaries, around forty to fifty percent seems to be ineligible. Now, the Government has decided to carry out verification survey to detect the ineligible beneficiaries and to remove them so that benefit could be ensured to actual beneficiaries.

This verification survey will be conducted from July 1 till July 15 and on the basis of survey report, subsequent action would be taken. All divisional commissioners, collectors, BMC Commissioner and CEOs of district panchayats have been asked to complete the survey work in set time limit. He also said that shortly he is also going to dig out more skeletons of corruption and will come up with evidences.
