CM Bhupesh Baghel launches ‘Digi Dunia’ at Marra village

As many as 1,246 schools of far-flung regions in State will be covered under the project 
 
CHIEF Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Wednesday launched ambitious ‘Digi Dunia’ project during a ‘shala praveshotsav’ (school entrant fair) at Marra village of Patan. As many as 1,246 schools of far-flung regions in State will be covered under the project which is being implemented as part of the ICT. The objective of the project is to take State to a new era.
 
The programme will not only make the study and teaching interesting but provide the students with opportunity to compete, said the Chief Minister while launching the digital programme. Besides, it will also help improving intellect of students. The syllabus can be read and heard now with this programme, added the Chief Minister. Later, the Chief Minister had lunch with children of Marra Primary School.
 
The Chief Minister also planted sapling on the occasion. Former Indian cricket team captain Anil Kumble, State School Education Minister Dr Premsai Singh Tekam and other ministers and public representatives were present. The Chief Minister welcomed the students and felicitated the teachers and sought their blessings by bowing down before them.
 
 
The teachers felicitated were Hirasingh Thakur and Chaituram Katiyar. Baghel said that quality education, better health facility and ample employment opportunities are the priorities of State Government. He said that the standard of education in Durg has always been high. Baghel also appreciated School Education Principal Secretary Gaurav Dwivedi and his team for working round- the-clock for the betterment of education in State. He also appreciated the efforts of the officials for making digitalisation possible in Government high school and higher secondary schools.
