Huge stock gutted at dal mill

Fire broke out in a dal mill situated in Industrial Development Area of Richhai on Wednesday. Stock of sacks, grains and dry fodder was gutted in fire. Along with this, machinery was also damaged in the fire incident.

This is another fire incident reported in industrial area of Richhai. Due to delay in extinguishing fire by the fire tenders on time the loss in the incident was more. Demand to establish a fire sub-station in industrial area will only prevent losses to industrial units as well as help in dousing fire before huge loss to property. According to Fire Department of Jabalpur Municipal Corporation, a dal mill is being operated by Vishal Kumar since many years in Ricchai, where manufacturing of fodder, grading of grains and other works are done. On Wednesday morning, security guard of dal mill noticed fumes billowing and reported about the incident. Around five fire tenders were pressed into service to control the fire. According to the information, approximate loss is yet to be ascertained and cause of fire is also not known.
