5 cops fined for violating traffic norms

ON SECOND consecutive day, action of traffic police continued against those cops who violated traffic norms either by not wearing helmet or jumping traffic signals. During vehicle checking drive conducted in police line area of Nehru Nagar on Thursday, five cops were fined for not wearing helmet and violating traffic norms.
 
 
On Wednesday, 35 cops were fined for violating traffic norms. Traffic police also stopped those people who were riding two wheelers by covering their face with scarf near education institutes. They were advised that for security reasons, they should not cover their faces. A school van was also penalised as it failed to comply with safety norms. Apart from this, traffic police also removed vehicles parked in no parking zone.
 
 
Action was taken against 25 vehicles. Also, 229 bike riders were fined for not wearing helmet. Traffic police has intensified the vehicle checking drive to ensure that vehicle riders follow traffic norms properly. Likewise, school buses are also being checked to ensure safety of students.
