Health Minister takes crucial decisions at DKS review meeting

Health Minister T S Singhdeo took review meeting of working of Dau Kalyan Singh Post Graduate Institute and Research Centre and ordered new fresh tenders for all services in DKS. The meeting took place at new Circuit House. He directed the hospital administration to provide best treatment facility to the patient as per super-speciality hospital. He asked the administration to call fresh tenders for the works carried out by the private agencies. It was decided that under Chirayu Yojana for operation DKS hospital should be given affiliation as first referral centre.
 
 
Health Minister opined that DKS hospital needs new beginning and all facilities should be made perfect. The patients should get best possible treatment at very low cost for which high level arrangement needs to be maintained. He asked the officials to cancel all previously sanctioned works for which no departmental approval was taken. He asked the hospital management not to make any payment in this regards. He asked to curtail unnecessary expenses and extra man power.
 
 
During meeting he gave approval for construction of new building for central medicine storage and for attendants of patient. He approved appointment of new lecturers for the vacant posts in DKS PG Institute. He said that the pharmacy and other shops running is hospital premises should be vacated immediately and fresh allotment process to be carried out. Health Minister directed to follow transparency in allotment of shops. Audit of fire safety and electricity safety to be carried out by certified agency, he added. During meeting information on expenses made for human resources, equipments, tests, medicine and other expenses was taken. He directed the hospital management to submit information on income and expenditure within a week time.
 
 
Health Secretary Niharika Barik Singh, Commissioner Health Services Bhuvnesh Yadav, Director Health Education and Superintendent of DKS Dr S L Adile, Finance department and District Administration officials and others were present.
