Rs 2000 cr to be deposited in farmers’ account soon: Minister Dr Govind Singh

District Planning Committee meeting held
District Planning Committee meeting chaired by in-charge Minister Dr Govind Singh held at Collectorate conference hall in the State capital on Thursday.
 
 
District in-charge and Co-operative and General Administration Minister Dr Govind Singh said that all the entitled farmers will be given benefit of ‘Jai Kisan Rin Mafi Yojana’ and the State Government will deposit Rs 2,000 crore in the accounts of farmers under the scheme.
 
 
It was informed in the meeting that a loan amount of more than Rs 27 crore of 10,604 farmers has been waived off under ‘Jai Kishan Rin Mafi Yojana’ in the first phase in the district. Work of second phase is going on in fast pace and in coming future loan of the farmers holding current accounts will also be waived off soon. Meanwhile, in-charge Minister along with District Planning Committee expressed satisfaction over sanctioning loan of Rs 102 crore for this kharif season.
 
 
In-charge Minister Dr Govind Singh also reviewed schemes of agriculture department and Jai Kisan Rin Mafi Yojana in detail in the meeting. District Planning Committee Member Secretary and Collector Tarun Pithode, DIG Irshad Wali and district-level officials were present. Gas Tragedy Relief and Rehabilitation Minister Arif Aqeel, Public Relations Minister PC Sharma, Zila Panchayat Chairman Manmohan Nagar, MLA Vishwas Sarang, Rameshwar Sharma, District Planning Committee members were also present in the meeting.
