Neemuch police finally succeeded to arrest one of the four jail inmates who fled by cutting the bars of their cell. Escaped jail inmate Lekhram was held from the border area of Rajasthan-Madhya Pradesh late on Thursday night. At the time of arrest, Lekhram was going to meet his relative. Meanwhile, another person has also been arrested on the charges of helping four accused in fleeing on two bikes.

Talking to ‘The Hitavada’, Neemuch Superintendent of Police Rakesh Sagar told that during late night hours of Thursday, jailbreak case accused Lekhram was held along the border of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. Police parties were chasing him from Rajasthan when he was on way to go to the home of a relative. He was accused in murder and loot case. Lekhram has split away with other three absconding jail inmates. Besides, one more person, Mittu, has been arrested on the charges of helping all four jail break case in fleeing on two bikes. Mittu is friend of another jailbreak case accused Pankaj.

Remaining three accused of jailbreak case are still on the run. Police fathom that they are hiding somewhere in Rajasthan and sooner or later, they too would be arrested. Police sources of Neemuch told ‘The Hitavada’ that accused and their helpers have planned the jailbreak six months ago. They implemented the jailbreak escape conspiracy with great patience. This could be understood from the fact that four jail inmates spent three days in cutting the bars of cell. Interestingly, a thick rubber slipper was cut in the manner that small mobile phone could be fitted inside it. Later, mobile equipped slipper was thrown inside jail which was later used by all four jail inmates for communication process with their helpers outside the jail. Notably, jail inmates Lekhram, Nar Singh, Pankaj Mongia and Dubey Lal have fled from Neemuch jail by cutting the bars of cell and scaling the wall with the help of a rope.
