Gadkari visits Dawa Bazar, takes stock of loss due to fire

Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister for Road Transport and MSME, paid a visit to Dawa Bazar on Sunday and interacted with the wholesale medicine shop-owners to take stock of the damage caused by fire that broke out in the complex on Friday. Madan Yerawar, Minister of State for Food and Drugs Administration (FDA); Vikas Kumbhare, MLA; Prof Anil Sole, MLC; Dayashankar Tiwari, Sanjay Balpande, Virendra Kukreja, Sarala Naik, Pravin Datke, all of them corporators, accompanied Gadkari during the visit and interaction. After inspecting the damage caused due to fire, Gadkari assured the shop-owners to extend all possible co-operation to them.
 
Mohan Abhyankar, Vice-President of Sandesh Dawa Bazar, stated in a press release issued on Sunday that Gadkari directed the officials concerned to initiate necessary steps to enable the shop-owners to resume their business as usual. Ramdev Agrawal, Director of Sandesh Infrastructure, also was present on the occasion. According to the press release issued by Abhyankar, Agrawal assured to extend 20 per cent of the amount of actual loss to the shop-owners who did not have corporate insurance. He also assured to temporarily make available other shops to affected shop-owners to conduct their businesses. Gadkari and chemists present on the occasion appreciated Agrawal’s gesture, stated Abhyankar in the press release.
