3 accused of attacking ASI, constable of Dial 100 nabbed

ASI, Lekhram Naudania and Constable, Sandeep Ghoshi were attacked by group of miscreants and sustained critical injuries in Jhalon village in Belkhera on June 7
Police have nabbed the three accused of attacking on Assistant Sub Inspector and a police constable of Dial 100 service and hindered working of Government Department, on Saturday. The arrested have been identified as Mohan Barman, his father Kallu Barman and Mandu Barman, son of Lacchu Barman, residents of Kudakalan village. It may be noted that ASI, Lekhram Naudania and Constable, Sandeep Ghoshi were attacked by group of miscreants and sustained critical injuries in Jhalon village in Belkhera on June 7. According to Belkhera police, On June 7, a caller named Shubham Lodhi, a resident of Jhalon village informed about clash of family members of Panchu Barman and Kallu Barman. Taking prompt action on the information, Dial 100 vehicle with ASI, Lekhram Naudania, Constables, Manoj Dhurve, Sandeep Ghoshi and Rohit Jain reached the spot.
They witnessed that Panchu Barman and Kallu Barman were clashing and objected them for clash when Kallu, Mandu Barman, Ram Barman and Mohan Barman started abusing the policemen. Before the policemen learnt their intentions, the miscreants attacked them with sidle and canes. The miscreants threatened the policemen to life for again interrupting them and managed to escape from the spot. In the attack, ASI, Lekhram Naudania and Constable, Sandeep Ghoshi sustained critical head injury. The condition of injured is reported to be stable undergoing treatment at the hospital.
Belkhera police had registered a case under Sections 294, 323, 506, 353, 186, 333, 307 and 34 of the IPC. Superintendent of Police, Amit Singh (IPS) had declared cash reward of Rs. 2,500 each for apprehending or giving information about the accused. Continuing a rigorous search, police received information of the hideout of accused at Themi village in Narsinghpur district. Acting promptly on the information, Narsinghpur police was contacted and a combine team succeeded in apprehending the accused. Accused were apprehended by police team led by SHO, Belkhera, Asif Iqubal comprised of ASI, Santosh Thakur, ASI, RS Eladi, Constables, Sandeep and Raghvendra and Themi police station’s Constable, Sanjeev, Sainik, Shankar and Jagdish.
