Tributes paid to martyrs

Rich tributes were paid to the three security personnel including two officers and one Head Constable from 199th Battalion of Central Reserve Police Force at Chhattisgarh Armed Force 4th Battalion Shaheed Smarak grounds on Saturday by Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, Home Minister Tamradhawaj Sahu. These three bravehearts were martyred during an ambush laid by Maoists im Bijapur district. Director General of Police (CG) Durgesh Madhav Awasthi, Special DG (Intelligence) Sanjay Pillay, ADG(CAF/STF/CID/Trng/Admn) along with senior officials from state administration, police and CRPF were present during the tribute ceremony and bid tearful adieu to brave martyrs.
 
It is worth mentioning here that three Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel including two officers, viz, Shaheed ASI/GD Mahadev Patil, a resident of village Margutti under Kamalapur PS in Gulbarga district of Karnataka; Shaheed ASI/GD Madan Pal Singh, a resident of village Lakhnu under Hathras PS in Hathras district of Uttar Pradesh; and Shaheed HC/GD Saju O P, a resident of village Vellayamkudi under Katappana PS in Idukki district of Kerala, were martyred in an Maoist ambush near Dewangan culvert in village Keshkutul under Bhairamgarh police station limits on Friday morning, when a composite team of the CRPF’s 199th battalion and local police was out on Area Domination Exercise in restive Bijapur district. One girl who reportedly caught in crossfire, also died while another sustained critical injuries.
