Transform Skywalk into Sky Garden: Green panther

With fate of Rs 50 crore worth of Raipur Skywalk hanging in balance, suggestions regarding the use of the under-construction infrastructure pouring in from different corners of the society. Latest to join is environment lover from Bagbahara, Vishwanath Panigrahi. While some are suggesting demolition of the structure which, according to them, has turned a white elephant and it is the only solution, some are suggesting to convert it into a ‘sky market’.

However, Panigrahi has urged the government to transform the Skywalk into a Sky Garden. Panigrahi was of the view that a Sky Garden is most suitable for a city like Raipur which is considered as one of the most polluted cities in the country. If gardens are developed in the Skywalk like rooftop gardens, it will be a gift to the environment, said Panigrahi, adding the concept will be a model for entire world.
