‘Govt is committed to work for welfare of farmers’

Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Tuesday said that the State government is committed to work for welfare of farmers in the state. Addressing a press conference at Circuit House in Ambikapur, Bhupesh Baghel said that the Congress government has increased the income of farmers by hiking the minimum support price (MSP) of paddy upto Rs 2500 per quintal.
 
The Congress government has conceptualized the “Narwa, Garwa, Ghurva, Badi” project to improve the life standard of rural people and it will prove a boon for them, he stated. The Congress government is committed to provide jobs to local people and as part of it, the Congress government has decided to constitute Surguja Junior Employees Selection Board, he said. Baghel said that he had come to Surguja division to attend the meeting of Surguja Development Authority.
 
He briefed the media persons about the decisions of the Authority. The Chief Minister said, “The Congress government is committed to take the state on path of rapid progress. In this process, participation of all the people of the state will be ensured.” Health Minister T S Singhdeo, School Education Minister Dr Premsai Singh Tekam, MLAs Amarjeet Bhagat, Brihaspati Singh and others were present at the press conference.
