‘Shani Dham Yantra Mandir’ comes up in Chowky village

‘Shani Dham Yantra Mandir,’ coming in Chowky village will make Vidarbha region to get back its lost glory. Shani is the most powerful deity considered in astrological science and with His presence here in the form of an idol, let all people from Vidarbha could get peace, harmony and wealth, said noted Marathi film actress Varsha Usgaonkar on Monday. She was addressing as a chief guest of public dedication function of Shani Dham Yantra Mandir constructed by Dr Bhupesh Gadge, Chancellor of Omkareshwar Jyotish Vidyapeeth and Shrikshetra Chowki. In the scorching heat at 47 degree thousands of devotees gathered in this small village surrounded by hillocks.
 
Appreciating the patience of these devotees, Usgaonkar stated that it was her good luck to attend such event. When the premises get developed completely, this place would grow as tourist place and the spiritual power would bless the entire region. The programme was started early morning. Followed by abhishek to the idol of Shani installed at the temple, devotees started recitation of Vedic Mantra of Shani. They had completed 11 lakh chants and created a world record for the same.
 
This place has been declared as fourth Shaktipeeth in Vidarbha. The experts of World Book of Record awarded certificate to Dr Bhupesh Gadge on this occasion. The villagers from nearby village took out the processions. About 25 Dindi processions were arrived on spot.
 
Distribution of Mahaprasad was also held. Dr Anil Vaidya, Dr Puja Gadge, Ramdas Fulzele, Devendra Dayare, Ramesh Mishra, Deepak Pattalwar, Dada Hiware, Dr Aruna Jagtap and many others were present on this occasion. Dr Gadge claimed that the village Chowki is the centre point of Central India when latitudes and longitudes are considered. In ancient scriptures, there is a description of Bruhaspati mandir at this spot. There is a mythological story behind this place where a war between Gods and demons took place here. The water at this place is very pure and contains 150 essential minerals, he added.
