DGP also asked SPs to maintain coordination with the SPs of neighbouring distts 
 
Director General of Police (DGP) D M Awasthi has directed all the Inspectors General (IGs) and Superintendents of Police (SPs) to set one ideal police stations (Adarsh Thana) equipped with all the essential facilities in each district. DGP Awasthi stated, these ideal police stations must have necessary infrastructures such as visitors’ room and drinking water while the behaviour of police staff should also be very courteous with them.
 
Every SP must consistently inspect the police stations under his domain. It must be ensured the visitors coming to the police stations return satisfied. DGP further stated that every IPS office should feel proud of being an important part of the government and that they have been selected for the important role of maintain law & order in society.
 
They should also maintain coordination with the SPs of neighbouring districts. Special Director General (SDG) Sanjay Pilley, Additional Director General (ADG) RK Vij and Pawan Dev, Ashok Juneja also addressed the SPs and asked them to sort out the basic problems of the police personnel and maintain personal contact with them. Likewise, compliance with roster on the posts of district cadres, pending cases of pensions, timely completion of departmental enquiries and resolution of account audit objections along with conforming to the guidelines and directions of the government concerning withdrawal of political cases in a prompt manner.
