CSPTCL’s re-structuring process of transmission lines under way

The Chhattisgarh State Power Transmission Companies Limited (CSPTCL) is carrying out re-structuring process of extra high-tension transmission lines and sub-stations with anobjective to strengthen the transmission lines. In this direction works over Rs 205 crore is under progress for the month of June in various parts of State.
 
Under the same, four major projects are underway in tribal dominated Bastar region, which are under constant monitoring of CSPC Limited Chairman Shailendra Shukla and CSPTCL MD Tripti Sinha along with their team of trained engineers.
 
CSPC Limited Chairman Shailendra Shukla stated that with the strengthening oftransmission infrastructure, un-interrupted power supply can be ensured for tribal dominated areas and also would ensure lowering of transmission loss.
 
Shukla further informed that the engineers and employees of CSPTCL are working hard under the prevailing heat-wave conditions so as to complete the re-structuring works at the earliest.However, for carrying out such works there is requirement for shut-down, but keeping the view the difficulties of consumers, workplan has been designed in such a way which requires minimum shut-down.
 
Following the said procedure, the re-structuring process of 132 kv power transmission lines connecting 220/132KV Thelkadih sub-station has been completed.With the completion of this re-structuring work, power transmission to Rajnandgaon, Durg, Dongargarh, etc will be strengthened. Commenting on the whole procedure, CSPTCL MD Tripti Sinha said that the work has been carried out by EHT Construction and Maintenance Division of CSPTCL.
 
For the said work, 18 hours shut-down in-between June 6-8 was required, but keeping the difficulties of consumers, power was supplied to them from alternate feeder, which resulted into shut-down of merely five hours at Thelkadih area in Rajnandgaon area, which will be taken on Saturday.
 
While informing about the progress of works being undertaken by CSPTCL, Sinha said by the end of June, the 220kv sub-station at Jagdalpur, 132kv Kondagaon-Jagdalpur transmission line and construction of 132kv bay, 220kv sub-station at Mungeli and 220kv Mopka-Siltara and Mopka-Bhatapara transmission line are likely to be completed.
