Strike of junior doctors enters day-5 with no result

Strike of junior doctors continues on fifth day on Sunday. No fruitful results obtained so far through series of meetings with higher authorities. Dr Pushpendra Kumar Rathore, Junior Doctors Association (JDA), Secretary member informed that nine point demands pressed by the JDA are minimum stipend to be paid to Post Graduate resident doctors. Presently the stipend paid to first year intern is Rs 42,500 and proposed stipend is Rs 75,913. Similarly, for second year and third year it is 45,000 and 47,000 which is proposed to be Rs 77,913 and 79,913 respectively.
 
Junior doctors demands change is security guards working at present in the hospital. Strict application of Medical Protection Act in every case of violence against doctors. No photography or videography zone to be made clear for patients and for female doctors safety. An institutional FIR in every case of violence against doctors should be lodged. Other demands are under graduates and interns to be allowed to continue their studies if selected in PGMEE during bond period.
 
No objection Certificate to be given for this state as well as other state. Bone period to be revised from two years to one year. Bond amount should be payable. Post PG bond to be dissolved as in other states like Gujarat. If not, to be revised for one year. They demand minimum of two JDA members in every committee that takes decision which directly or indirectly affects the resident doctors.
