Gram Swasthya Sabha held at village Kewlari

To identify children aged upto 5 years, who are suffering from critical diseases and malnourishment, a Gram Swasthya Sabha was organised at village Kewlari of Panagar block under Dastak Abhiyan recently. During Gram Swasthya Sabha, the health workers counselled the villagers to take better care of their children’s health. Precautions to check night blindness disease were discussed before the villagers, who were appealed to ensure oral dose of Vitamin ‘A’ in every six months. Villagers were apprised about ill impact of malnourishment on their children’s physical and mental growth and development. They were appealed to give oral dose of ORS solution to their children in case of dehydration or diarrhoea or dysentery. The villagers were awarded with prizes for Healthy Child, Healthy Family and Healthy Home during Gram Swasthya Sabha.
 
The sabha was attended by Sarpanch of gram panchayat Kewlari, Anganwadi and ASHA workers and a large number of villagers. Prior to Gram Sabha, the health workers reached every door step to examine the health of children aged upto 5 years under Dastak Abhiyan.
