Inter-state gang into narcotics trade busted, 10 kg ganja seized

In a major breakthrough, police have nabbed two members of inter state gang of narcotics trade and seized 10-kilograms Ganja of Rs. 1 lakh and a motorcycle from them. The arrested have been identified as Neelkamal Sonkar (35), son of Babulal Sonkar, resident of Badi Omti, near Community Hall in Bhartipur and Kailash Kumar Kampo (18), son of Kishore Kumar Kampo, resident of DIC Colony, Kanghmal district in Odisha. Superintendent of Police, Amit Singh (IPS) informed this while addressing a press conference, on Tuesday. SP, Amit Singh informed that during a special campaign police received information about two men working in inter state gang of narcotics trade were sight near Bhartipur Community Hall.
 
Taking prompt action on the information, a team under the supervision of Additional SP (City), Rajesh Tripathi and CSP, Omti, Shashikant Shukla led by SHO, Omti, Neeraj Verma started a search and trapped the two suspected men when they were riding on a motorcycle bearing registration number MP-20MY-5254 from Railway Station towards Bhartipur. In their search, police team seized ganja filled in two bags weighing around 10-kilograms amounting to Rs. 1 lakh.
 
IN further investigation, police learnt that a man named Kailash Kumar Kampo brought the narcotic consignment from Odisha for its delivery to Neelkamal Sonkar. Omti police have registered a case under Section 8, 20 of NDPS Act while further investigations are underway to identify and apprehend other persons working in the network of narcotics trade. Drug peddlers were arrested with active working of police team led by SHO, Neeraj Verma comprised of SI, Naval Singh Paraste, Head Constables, Teerath Gautam, Hriday Narayan Pandey, Ashok Pandey, Constables, Mithilesh Shukla, Pramod Dharmaji Pawan, KBN Singh, Deepak Vishwakarma and Pankaj Kaurav.
