MP shooter Rubina to represent India in Para Sports World Cup

Rubina Francis is the only player from Madhya Pradesh among 11 players in the Indian team, who has been selected for the World Shooting Para Sports World Cup. In the World Cup, Rubina will participate in Para 10 meter Air Pistol Competition of Girl’s category 
 
Madhya Pradesh State Shooting Academy Para player Rubina Francis will represent Indian team in the World Shooting Para Sports World Cup to be held at Osijek, Croatia from July 22 to 31, 2019.
 
Rubina Francis is the only player from Madhya Pradesh among 11 players in the Indian team, who has been selected for the World Shooting Para Sports World Cup. In the World Cup, Rubina will participate in Para 10 meter Air Pistol Competition of Girl’s category. Prior to this, Rubina will participate in National Training Camp organised by the Sports Authority of India in Delhi for preparations for the World Cup. Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Jitu Patwari has expressed contentment on the selection of talented player Rubina Francis of the shooting academy and has given best wishes while encouraging her to perform excellent in the World Shooting Para Sports World Cup.
 
Director of Sports and Youth Welfare Dr S L Thaosen also congratulated Rubina for her selection. Notably, Rubina Francis has bagged gold medal in the World Shooting Para Sports World Cup held at Bangkok in 2017. She has bagged total 15 gold and 2 silver medals to the State of Madhya Pradesh in national championships. Rubina has been receiving the training of shooting under the guidance of Chief Coach of the Shooting Academy Jaspal Rana and Assistant Coach Jaivardhan Singh Chouhan since 2017.
