Promises made to farmers will be fulfilled: Bhanot

Finance Minister Tarun Bhanot said that promises made to farmers by Congress Government will be fulfilled at any cost. Besides, Ram Gaman Path will be constructed. Bhanot was addressing a press conference after presenting budget in Assembly on Wednesday. He added that State Government has received around Rs 2,700 crore less from Centre. Now all states are questioning the economic policies of centre.

He was of the view that as centre did not get expected response in GST hence now states are suffering. Taking potshot on previous BJP government, he told that in last 15 years, loan was taken but it was not used wisely.

Talking about loan waiver scheme of farmers, he told that loan of around 20 lakh farmers has been waived off and no dues certificates have been also received by them. In second phase of scheme, remaining farmers loan would be waived of and Rs 8000 crore has been has proposed in this regard in budget. On this occasion, Minister PC Sharma and finance department’s officers were also present.
