CII to hold workshop on ‘Flow Manufacturing’ on July 15

TO SURVIVE successfully in this competitive scenario, manufacturing companies should focus on cutting down internal wastages by aligning their processes in most efficient manner. Flow manufacturing is a proven tool which is implemented can enhance the productivity by balancing the work flow. With this background, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) along with CIIs Avantha Center of Excellence for Competitiveness for SMEs will be organising a workshop on ‘Flow Manufacturing for better productivity and efficiency growth.’
 
The theme will be ‘Streamline the manufacturing processes for better productivity and efficiency enhancement’ on July 15, from 10 am to 5 pm at Samvaad Hall, Engine Building, Mahindra & Mahindra Plant, MIDC, Hingna, Nagpur. Following main topics would be dealt with in detail- perfect process, inventory – asset or plague?, relationship – productivity vs inventory, concept of ITR, problem with conventional layout, definition and benefits of flow manufacturing, product families, P-Q analysis, Cell designing, operator line balancing and guidelines for cell layout.
 
There will be various benefits and outcomes for the participants like productivity, efficiency improvement, inventory reduction, lead time reduction, improve employee ownership, delivery schedule adherence improvement and increase team morale. Target Audience: Production engineers & managers, quality engineers & managers, industrial engineers & managers, people from operational excellence/ business excellence, plant operation personnel who are responsible for equipment/machinery, maintenance personnel taking care of proactive maintenance activities (TBM, IR, CM etc.) in a manufacturing facility, TPM coordinators who are responsible for TPM implementation at their plants, manufacturing heads, engineering heads, process heads, engineers etc.
 
The faculty for the workshop is Rajendra Ingle, Head WR CII CFC and senior counsellor with more than 20 years industry experience. He was heading process engineering & manufacturing excellence department while working in the industry and worked as plant head. He has worked with many Japanese gurus like Prof Suzukisan, Prof Yamaguchisan, Prof Sayamasan to name a few. He guided various industries across the India to improve PQCDSM parameters of Companies like Schneider group companies, Cummins India, JBM, Minda Corporation , Forbes Marshal, Crompton Greaves, Thermax, Forbes & Company , Banco India, Sandhar Automotive, Banco India Ltd etc. Industry members are invited to take advantage of this workshop by CII’s AVANTHA Center of Excellence.
