Naveen Jindal visits BSP

Naveen Jindal, Chairman of Jindal Steel and Power Limited(JSPL) visited Bhilai Steel Plant and went round a few units of the plant during his short stay on Thursday. Anirban Dasgupta, Chief Executive Officer of Bhilai Steel Plant and AK Bhatta, General Manager In-charge (Projects) were present. Jindal began his plant visit by visiting the Safety Excellence Centre, located near the Main Gate initially, where he apprised self with information related to steps regarding safety that are to be observed during the plant visit.

Various types of safety posters and banners have been displayed at the Suraksha Kavach as the Safety Excellence Centre is popularly known, to raise safety awareness. Later, Naveen Jindal witnessed the processes of rail production and rail loading while visiting the Universal Rail Mill that is equipped with state-of-the-art technology. He also viewed ‘Mahamaya’ Blast Furnace-8, End Forging in Rail Mill and Steel Melting Shop-1. Talking to the BSP officials, he spoke of mutual sharing of knowledge and experience in order to enhance steel production and productivity.
