Two persons killed, five injured in freak mishap on Jabalpur Highway

Two persons were killed and five injured in a freak mishap at Pawani village on Jabalpur highway on Wednesday night. Among the deceased is three-months-old baby. The mishap occurred after a car hit a wild boar resulting in the driver losing his control and the vehicle ramming into a stationary truck. The accident, according to police, occurred at around 10 pm.
 
The deceased and the injured hail from Kurai town in Seoni district. They were on way to Nagpur for treatment of the newborn baby. Daharwal family was travelling in Bolero Car (MH-40/AS-3749) and just after they crossed the Chindhai Mata Mandir a wild boar came in front of the vehicle. As the car was at great speed the crash sent the vehicle into tailspin and rammed into the stationary truck (GJ-01/DX-1875) that was nearby.
 
The car rammed into the truck from behind in great speed and its front portion was badly mangled. The occupants in the car were Kavyashree Ajay Sivane (3 months), Kishor Daharwal (28), Dr Govind Daharwal (45), Dipti Govind Daharwal (35), Pihu Daharwal (5), Roshni Ajay Sivane (25) and car driver Ashfaq Shabbir Khan were seriously injured. All of them hail from Kurai and they were rushed to Rural Hospital at Deolapar where Doctors pronounced Kishor and Kavyashree dead on arrival. The other injured are now stated to be out of danger. Ritesh Bhongade, Range Forest Officer, Pawani Range, went to the spot on Thursday morning and seized the body of wild board. PSO Pravin Borkute of Deolapar police station is conducting further investigation.
