6 Bhopal hockey players to represent India in Kenya

As many as six players from Hockey Academy, Sports Authority of India (SAI), Bhopal centre, have been selected in the national hockey team of SAI and will represent India in International Field Hockey Competition for Club to be held in Nairobi and Mombasa, Kenya.
 
 
The event will be held from July 22 to August 2. The selection process was conducted in Bhubaneswar, Odisha from June 30 to July 6 in which many young and vibrant players, including a total of 28 players in boys’ category and 28 players in girls’ category, attended the selection process. This year, the International Field Hockey competition is being held at Nairobi and Mombasa in Kenya.
 
 
All the expenses of the selected players in this competition will be borne by the Government of India. Three boys and three girls of Sports Authority of India Hockey Academy, Bhopal have been selected. The players, including Pramod, Deepak and Manish Yadav in boys’ category and Idula Jyoti, Tania and Lalita Lakshmi, got selected for the international event. On this achievement, SAI Director Rajendra Singh, Assistant Director Sibananda Mishra congratulated the selected players and their coaches Y S Chouhan and Heera Singh.
