Governor Patel distributes Jan Swasthya Yojana golden cards

Governor Anandiben Patel distributed the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Swasthya Yojana golden cards to the employees of Raj Bhavan and their families on the occasion of Doctor’s Day. The Governor said that, the objective of the scheme is to provide health insurance to the economically weaker sections, so that they can lead a healthy life without worries. She told that, nine Government and 40 private hospitals of Bhopal have been listed under this scheme. She told that maximum one crore registrations under this scheme are from Madhya Pradesh.
 
On the instructions of Governor Patel, about 76 cards of Raj Bhavan personnel, horticulture workers and daily wage employees were made in a camp organised from May 26 to June 2 at Raj Bhavan. Under the Ayushman Yojana, all Below Poverty Line (BPL) card holders of the country, with an annual income of Rs 5 lakh, are already being provided with the facility of cashless treatment worth Rs 5 lakh in the Government hospitals and other hospitals listed by the Government. This scheme will benefit more than 50 crore people of about 10 crore families of the country. The scheme has begun in 17 states of the country.
