However, there are more other leaders who are in race for State chief post and their supporters are raising the demand that their favourite leaders should be crowned as state president. Names of Jyotiraditya Scindia, Home Minister Balabachchan, Ajay Singh and other senior leaders are also eyeing the State president’s post. A Congress leader told ‘The Hitavada’ that Chief Minister Kamal Nath met Rahul Gandhi in New Delhi and had a closed door discussion with him on Monday. It is being fathomed that apart from other issues, discussion also centered on issue related to appointment of new State President post. Jytoridatiya Scindia was also slated to meet Rahul Gandhi in New Delhi on Monday but it could not be known that whether he met Rahul Gandhi or not.

It is being expected that sooner or later Madhya Pradesh Congress will get the new chief. The demand for new president was even being raised after Assembly elections results but Congress high command decided to continue with Kamal Nath as State President. Hence, even after becoming Chief Minister, Kamal Nath continued to work as state chief. But after the drubbing of Congress in Lok Sabha election, demand for new state chief became stronger. Henceforth, it is being fathomed that Congress high command will clear the name of new state president in coming days.
