Anganbadi workers cheer honorarium hike

State Government’s decision to increase the honorarium of Anganbadi workers by Rs 1,500, Rs 1,250 and Rs 750 respectively has brought cheer on their faces. According to the decision, Anganbadi workers would get the benefit of Rs 1,500 each, Mini Anganbadi workers would get the benefit of Rs 1,250 each and Anganbadi assistants would get benefit of Rs 750 each.
 
Chaman Netam, who is a worker of Anganbadi Centre-2 of village Kherthadih of Block Balod has expressed her happiness on increase in honorarium and she praised the government for fulfilling their demand. She said that honorarium is the main source of their households as they only have 50 Dismil land in their name. Her husband works as a labour.
 
Chaman has two children, one boy and a girl and good education is all she wants for her children. Another Anganbadi Assistant Basanti Netam also expressed her joy on the increase in honorarium and how it has solved financial issues.
