Cash, jewellery stolen from chemist’s house

House of a chemist located at Ayodhya Nagar area was targeted by thieves who made away with cash, gold and silver ornaments over Rs 1 lakh, police told on Wednesday. SHO Mahendra Kulhara said that the victim Yogendra Tiwari, 37, son of Motilal Tiwari, lives in EWS-199, Phase 5 in Ayodhya Nagar, and runs a medical shop at Bajrang Market, Barkheda in Piplani area.
 
A complaint was lodged by the victim with the Ayodhya Nagar police and in his complaint, he stated that on June 22, he along with family members had gone to Rewa to attend marriage of his nephew from where they returned Bhopal on Tuesday morning and was shocked to find that the lock of main gate was broke open.
 
Upon entering house he spotted the household items were scatted and doors of all rooms were opened. The thieves even checked the kitchen to find anything to burgle. When he checked the almirah of bedroom, he found that it was opened using master key by thieves who have stolen Rs 25,000 cash, two gold and one silver chain, three pairs of silver anklets, toe ring, 10 silver coins, silver bangles and silver idols of god. Subsequently, he reported the matter to police after which police personnel along with FSL team visited the spot and registered a case under sections 457 and 380 of the IPC. The house owner has also provided footages of CCTV camera fitted near his house and in the CCTV grab three bike-borne suspects were seen. Based on the details in the complaint and information provided by the victim, the police have started investigation.
