Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will be launching mega membership drive from July 6, the birth anniversary of Late Syama Prasad Mukherjee, founder of the Bharatiya Jana Sangh. The membership will continue till August 11 in State to mark ‘Sanghatan Parv’. The mega membership drive will be launched by Dr Thawar Chand Gehlot Union Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment.

 

 

 

After registering membership through online process, it would get a format filled by new members to verify their credentials and will be given a membership number and coupon. The party is targeting at least 20 per cent more membership than previously. This target has to be achieved in one month’s time.

 

Commenting on the membership drive, BJP State President Vikram Usendi said that the BJP has been established as a political party for one and all. Late Dr Syama Prasad Mukherjee had sacrificed his life for strengthening unified India.

Dr Mukherjee during his lifetime had contemplated of an well-organised and ideal organisation in the form of Bharatiya Jana Sangha, which today has taken shape of a huge Vat Vriksha in the form of Bharatiya Janata Party.

 

Through this mega membership drive, the BJP office-bearers and party workers will contact every household and connect people with the ideology and principles of BJP and strengthen the hands of PM Modi.

 

According to process for membership drive, a new member is registered and thereafter as per his or her indulgence in party activities, is upgraded to active party member. Organisational elections is held stage-wise. This time minor changes have been made in the rules for membership.

 

This time, state-level leaders will be conducting meetings at mandal level and give momentum to the membership drive.
