MADHYA Pradesh Assembly’s monsoon session will start from Monday. During the session, Chief Minister Kamal Nath will also table budget apart from seeking approval to important bills. Monsoon session is likely to be stormy as the Opposition is going to corner the Government on various burning issues, including law and order situation.

Apart from this, Opposition is determined to ruffle feathers of the Government by questioning loan waiver scheme which is ambitious scheme of the Congress Government. During campaigning for Assembly elections, the Congress had promised to waive off farmers’ loan upto Rs 2 lakh within 10 days. BJP is repeatedly reminding that the Congress Government failed to fulfill its promise and even after six months of the Government many farmers are still awaiting benefits of the scheme.

Meantime, the Congress is prepared to blunt barrage of allegations of the Opposition. Indore incident involving BJP MLA Akash Vijayvargiya is also likely to rock the Assembly as ruling party will try to use it as a weapon to repel attack of Opposition. Besides, BJP will also try to turn the heat on Government over fuel price issue. On first day of the session, Assembly will pay tribute to the departed souls. Meantime, tight security arrangements have been made near the Assembly premises. Armed police personnel are maintaining strict vigil to avert any untoward incident.
