Company secretaries can play pivotal role in compliance of MSME: Vaidhya

THE Nagpur Chapter of Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) jointly with Western India Regional Council (WIRC) organised a full day seminar on ‘The Critical Compliances in Companies Act 2013 and Board Report’ in line with Secretarial Standard (SS-4). The chief guest of the seminar was Shashibhushan Vaidhya, National Vice- President of Laghu Udyog Bharati (LUB). The occasion was also graced by Chairman WIRC CS Ashish Karodia and Secretary WIRC CS Pawan Chandak. Speaking on the occasion, Shashibhushan Vaidhya said, company secretaries can play a pivotal role in compliance of MSME sector along with the existing corporate environment.
 
The seminar covered the major amendments and compliance under Companies Act, 2013. CS Divesh Goyal, Practising Company Secretary, Delhi spoke on the major amendments on the topics like deposits, significant beneficial owner (SBO) etc. Anand Tirodkar from CDSL briefed about e-voting process. CS Geetika Anand, A V P Company Secretary and Compliance Officer, Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Limited, Mumbai briefed about the details on Board Report in accordance with Secretarial Standard (SS-4), its requirements, amendments etc.
 
The seminar was attended by more than 110 company secretaries. The seminar was organised by WIRC of ICSI and hosted by Nagpur Chapter of ICSI and was attended by CS Shantanu Jog (Chairman), CS Deepti Joshi, Vice Chairperson, CS Khushboo Pasari Secretary and CS Rohan Mehra Treasurer and managing committee members of Nagpur Chapter of WIRC of ICSI. The committee recognised the efforts of CS Amit Rajkotiya, CS Mangesh More, CS Neeraj Pandey, CS Vandana Sanghi, CS Pragati Kakani, CS Manish Rajvaidhya, CS Aniket Deodhar, CS Bhavesh Thadani, CS Smita Agarkar, CS Sarah Katawala, CS Rahul Thakwani, CS Vilas Nichat, CS Priyanka Shrinivas, CS Tejas Shingewar, CS Shraddha Kabra and CS Monish Pal in organising the seminar successfully.
