Different organisations plant saplings under Govt’s 33 crore tree plantation drive

Various organisations held tree plantation programmes at different places in the city and at outskirts on Sunday, as part of the ambitious 33 crore tree plantation drive launched by the government. Social Forestry Deptt The Department held a plantation programme near Godhni Railway gate in which Gopalrao Thosar, senior environmentalist, was the chief guest. He planted a sapling to mark inauguration of the programme. Geeta Nannaware, Divisional Forest Officer, interacted with the students and citizens and stressed on the importance of plantation.

Ajinkya Bhatkar of WWF, and representatives also planted seedlings on the occasion. A number of students, citizens, representatives of Robinhood Army, Vishwas Bahuddheshiya Sanstha and others participated in it. Manoj Mohite and staff members organised the programme. Akhil Bharatiya Pulak Jan Chetna Manch Members of the manch in cooperation with Rashtriya Jain Mahila Jagruti Manch held a tree plantation programme at Mahaveer Nagar ground, Great Nag Road, to mark 52nd Deeksha Din of Acharya Vidyasagar Maharaj. Corporator Sheetal Kamdi, was the chief guest. Mahendrakumar Kataria, Dr Ravindra Bhusari, Anil Gaware, Prashant Kamdi, Sanjay Nakhate, Priya Pohre, Rajendra Nakhate, Kamal Baj, Jyoti Gulhane, Manoj Band, Roshani Sawwalakhe, Dr Narendra Bhusari, Saharad Machale, Sandip Pohre, Ramesh Udepurkar, Chhaya Udepurkar and others took active part. Vibha Foundation and NCC Air Wing The members held a tree plantation programme in cooperation with Brahmni Gram Panchayat, Butibori, at Brahmni village, Borkhedi, recently. Wing Commander D Bharat, Warrant Officer Rajendra Singh and Sargeant Bipin Rai were the guests of honour.
 
The highlight of this gram panchayat is that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi felicitated it for outstanding work in Swachha Bharat 2019. Madhuri Ghodmare, Sarpanch, Tulsidas Bhanarkar, Secretary, gram panchayat, Amol Kale and around 100 villagers planted seedlings on the occasion. Rotary Club of Nagpur Fort 3030 It began its activities by undertaking tree plantation at Antarbharati School for the underpriviledged at Khamla on Friday.
 
Members planted saplings in the courtyard of the school. Rotary President Sunil Ambagade, Secretary Suresh Bhake, members and others participated in the programme. PP Dharkar, P P Capt Milind Hastak and Director Smita Hastak took initiative in organising the event. Kumud Kasbekar and school staff members were present. Meanwhile, Ramtek Tehsil Office held a tree plantation programme on the government land at Panchala village recently as part of 33 crore tree plantation programme. The participants planted 770 seedlings. The programme began with Tehsildar Nilima Rangari planting a seedling. Then, Nayam Tehsildar Manoj Wade, K B Kamble, Anil Bhagat, Shobhelal Kodwate, all Kotwals, Partwaris, staff members and others planted saplings.
