Man kills father-in-law to teach wife a lesson

IN A shocking incident, a 35-year-old car mechanic stabbed his father-in-law to death at his residence in Durga Nagar area of Koh-e-fiza on Sunday morning. After a heated argument, the accused stabbed the deceased repeatedly with a knife. At the time of murder, accused’s mother and son were present in another room of the house.
 
After the murder, the accused fled, while his mother informed landlord of deceased. Someone in the area also informed Dial 100 and soon cops from Koh-e-fiza police station reached the spot. Deceased, Shyam Shrivastava (63), a resident of Shahjahanabad worked as an electrician. Accused Gajendra Yadav alias Gajju (35) is on the run and Koh-e-fiza police have booked him for murder. Yadav lives in Lalghati area of Koh-e-Fiza with his mother and son. The accused had a love marriage over 10 years ago and he has two children. His daughter lives with her mother at Shahjahanabad area. Wife of the accused lived with her father in Shahjahanabad.
 
He tried to convince her to return to him but in vain. His wife refused to return to him and this had led to several heated arguments. Accused wanted his father-in-law to convince the woman to return. But when things did not work his way. Gajendra conspired to kill his father-in-law to teach his wife a lesson. On Sunday, Shrivastava was working in his shop when Yadav went to him. He said there is some issue in a wire in his house and asked him to repair it.
 
The elderly man followed him to his house. Thereafter he realised there is no wire problem in the house, he started to leave but was stopped by the accused. He started pressurising him to talk to his daughter. He said his daughter must return to him. The accused started mounting pressure on him. This led to a heated argument and in a fit of rage, Yadav stabbed him several times. Hearing the screams, mother of accused rushed and was shocked to see Shrivastava lying in a pool of blood. The body was sent for post-mortem and an FIR was lodged with Koh-e-fiza police and search is on to nab the accused.
