18 stolen vehicles worth 4.5 lakh seized from lifters

The Nishatpura police have nabbed two vehicle-lifters and recovered 18 two-wheelers worth Rs 4.5 lakh from their possession from 80 ft road on Sunday. DIG Irshad Wali addressing mediapersons at police control room said that acting on a tip off, a man was detained during vehicle checking at 80 ft road who failed to provide details of the vehicle and confessed that it was stolen one. The accused was identified as Chandresh Yadav (30), son of Ramkishan Yadav, a resident of Karond area.
 
Later, in the interrogation it was revealed that he along with Mohammad Zuber (48), son of Mohammad Saeed, had stolen 18 two-wheelers from different parts of the city. On the information provided by Chandresh, the police arrested Zuber. During the investigation police found that Chandresh is a notorious criminal and was released on bail recently. After he was released on bail and stole vehicles from Karond Mandi area, People’s Mall parking and deserted areas of the city and dump in Sironj and later after finding customers they would sell the vehicles.
 
Chandresh has been booked for 8 cases of theft and Arms Act by Nishatpura, Talaiya and Shahjehanabad police. Nishatpura police have registered a case under Section 379 of the IPC and 41(1-4) of CrPC. Chandresh hails from Sironj and is staying at Karond area. Zuber is a resident of Karond area. Accused were trying to sell the stolen vehicle when they were nabbed. The details of recovered vehicles would be provided to the respect police stations. The police have started search for other accomplices who have helped the accused in stealing and disposing the vehicles.
