SWARMADHURA, one of the leading musical troupe is coming up with musical show based on famous songs of legendary Music Director late Khayyam on August 25 from 5.30 pm at Deshpande Hall, Civil Lines. Khayyam was notable for his music, versatility and different flavour of his music were varied from fast peppy numbers to patriotic songs, sad numbers to highly romantic songs, Qawwalis to Ghazals and Bhajans to Classical songs. He was known for his ability to mould his music to the persona and style of an actor, or the scene of the song on screen in the movie. Khayyam mainly has given very popular music to Trishul, Kabhi Kabhi, Bazar, Thodi Si Bewaffai, Raziya Sultan, Dil E Nadan, Khandan, and the most popular was Umrao Jaan.

 

The show is conceptualised by SwarMadhura and singers will be Rajesh Duragkar, Surbhi Dhomne and Isha Ranade with the most innovative and knowledgeable anchor Shweta Shelgaonkar. Musicians will be Mahendra Dhole, Parimal Joshi, Arvind Upadhey, Amar Shende, Prasanna Wankhede, Pravin Lihitkar, Prasanna Wankhede, Sachin Dhomne, Sanjay Barapatre, Ashok Tokalwar, Dipak Kamble, Subhash Wankhede and Ujwla Gokarn.
