IPS Officers Association also demanded DG salary scale to IPS officers of 1987 batch. Along with this, IPS officers also demanded risk allowance according to the percentage of basic salary.

Discussion was also centered on making policing better to strengthen the law and order situation. Notably, it is a long-pending demand of IPS Officers Association for introduction of Police Commissioner system which will provide extra powers to IPS officers dealing with law and order situation. On the contrary, IAS officers lobby is against the police commissioner system as if it is introduced then some powers enjoyed by Collector would become dilute.
