DANTEWADA Manifesting kindness, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel came forward to help a pregnantwoman in Patelpara. The woman, wife of Aayutu, a resident of Patelpara under Alampalli police station, Jagargunda, was under severe labour pain. Since it was late night, no vehicle was available. Therefore, three-four villagers managed to take her to the Kondasavali CRPF camp. But, there were no doctors available and the patient’s condition was deteriorating.

Seeing her condition, CRPF camp Commander Amrit Singh and Assistant Commander rushed the woman to Dantewada Headquarters District Hospital in an ambulance despite potential threats from Naxalites. Second in-Command Officer Sanjay Kumar had already called the battalion to the District Hospital to ensure that the pregnant woman is treated immediately. The woman finally delivered the baby safely. The villagers thanked soldiers and officers of Central Reserve Police Force camp for their help. The security personnel assured villagers of all possible help.
