Overwhelming response from investors in USA on MP Govt’s plans: Tarun Bhanot

“ATTRACTING industry, investors in new Madhya Pradesh for investment, a delegation of Madhya Pradesh held talks with Indian origin community in USA. We visited various centres and met Indian community in the USA. Apprising about new policies, development plans initiated under the leadership of Chief Minister Kamal Nath and feasibility for investment in different priority sectors. Indian industrialists, investors in USA have shown keen interest showing overwhelming response on priority programmes of MP Government,” said Finance Minister, Madhya Pradesh Government Tarun Bhanot, while addressing a press conference, on Tuesday. Bhanot added that industrialists and investors in USA showed keen interest while accepting our invitation for Investors’ Meet in October-2019 in Indore have termed Madhya Pradesh a vibrant destination for investment.
We are focused on developing employment for youths of Madhya Pradesh at home State. A day-long ‘Magnificent Madhya Pradesh’ investors’ meet will be organised in Indore. In the meeting, investors from home and abroad will be apprised about priorities and plan for industry and on the basis work will be initiated. Commenting on development of Jabalpur, the Finance Minister said in coming five years numerous development works, projects that are on launching stage will bring change. Construction of multi-purpose sport centre at Baddadada ground, various flyovers, new college and upgradation of schools, Narmada Front from Tilwara to Bhitoli, Rani Avanti Bai Bargi Dam Right Bank Canal water distribution system upgrade, which has been left since last many years depriving farmers of Sihora, Kundam and Barela.
A research was carried out and report was given to local authorities to develop DPR of right bank canal water distribution system. At present, only 35 per cent of total capacity of this irrigation system is being utilised. He added that a survey on setting up 10 sugar processing industries is also in the pipeline as sugarcane production in the region has immense possibilities. Development will bring prosperity and employment. Finance Minister Bhanot said under the leadership of Chief Minister Kamal Nath we have attracted Rs 7000 crore investment in just a week’s time. Availing experience of CM Kamal Nath we have made feasible deals before MNC.
The Chief Minister has some special plans for Jabalpur also. He will declare development plans for city during his visit on September 21. Lastly, he said in Jabalpur with Smart City Jabalpur and district administration to jointly organise Real Estate Investors Summit 2019 attracting investment in real estate and housing sector.
