BJP National General Secretary and State In-charge Dr Anil Jain said that Congress must remember that in Jhiram massacre its entire top leadership was brutally killed by Maoists

COMING down heavily on Congress, BJP National General Secretary and State In-charge Dr Anil Jain said that Congress should be ashamed of itself for seeking support from Maoists in Dantewada by-election despite the fact that in Jhiram massacre its entire top leadership was brutally killed by Maoists. Confident that the Bharatiya Janata Party will be winning the by-election in Dantewada, Dr Jain said he’s confident because of the electoral atmosphere in Assembly constituency. Congress is on the back-foot as it has nothing to project before the people against BJP’s developmental policies. He said that the Congress is trying to corner BJP on petty issues like cow and Gandhiji for political gains, shows the incumbent government’s bankruptcy.

What has the Government done in last nine months’ of its tenure, neither it has waived farmers’ loans fully nor fulfilled promises like payment of unemployment allowance. The State Government has failed in maintaining law and order situation. Only one thing it has done is that it has constituted numbers of SITs. Talking to media persons, Dr Jain said that in Dantewada one can see how the daughter of Congress candidate is intimidating people to support Congress or face consequences. They are utilising the support of Maoists in every possible way they can to win the elections.

They should be ashamed that a party who has lost its top leadership only due to Maoist attack is trying to win elections with their support. The Congress neither has any issues to highlight against BJP nor any issues which it can use for garnering support in its favour. Within a short span of nine months, people are already fed up with the Government and are today repenting as to why they have elected this government. Answering a query on Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh had to take to streets, Dr Jain said that RSS always rakes up issues of public importance throughout the country and here also it has raked up issue of depleting law and order. He said that the RSS is an autonomous organisation and it can rake up any issue independently.

As far as BJP is concerned, it has raked up the said issue in its way while the RSS through its Silent March has given more focused approach to the protest.Reacting to the queries on country’s economy, the BJP National General Secretary, while terming it as global phenomenon, said that it cannot be called a recession in true sense, in fact, it is global economic down-trend. However, under such global down-trend the country’s GDP is better than major economies like China, etc. When a country upgrades as a major economy, it ceases to remain as independent economy but becomes a part of global economy and global economic activities starts affecting it.

He further added that during this time-being recession, it may have affected manufacturing sector to some extent but alike previous times, very soon the situation will improve. While commenting on Baghel’s comment on Union Finance Minister Dr Jain said that situation in metro and tier-one cities are different with that of Chhattisgarh. The Union Finance Minister had reacted regarding automobile sector in the whole country. He said it is correct that due to App based taxi services people have stopped purchasing vehicles but it can be true to a great extent in metro cities where there is lot of transporting options and lack of parking areas. But in the case of Chhattisgarh, the App based services are applicable in cities like Raipur and Bilaspur and not in the whole State.
