CM presents President Gold Medal for Special Services to Christopher Irland

Christopher E Irland, Divisional Warden (R) has been bestowed with President Gold Medal for Special Services at the hands of Chief Minister Kamal Nath during Independence Day programme. Acknowledging efficient leadership of Irland with line order during emergency, peace and social services under 12 different services mentioned under Disaster Management Civil Defence and SDERF, he was selected for the President Medal for special services.
 
Earlier also, he received President Medal of Excellence (Meritorious) in 2009. Irland did excellent job under the guidance of Special Director General Police (IPS), Maithilisharan Gupt during Ujjain Mahakumbh Mela. The Government of Madhya Pradesh awarded him with cash award of Rs. 5000 for his outstanding services. It may be mentioned Irland was the first Divisional Warden from Jabalpur, Indore, Gwalior, Bhopal and Katni Civil Defense Wing to win the President Medal. Later on, observing his excellent services, he has been awarded again for President Gold Medal.
 
The Governor of Madhya Pradesh, Lalji Tandon, Director General, Ashok Dohare (IPS) CD HG, SDERF, Rajesh Chawla (IPS), Additional Director General of Police and Sagar ADJ and Dr. Vishad Tiwari, DIG Assistant Commandant General congratulated Irland for the President Medal. Divisional Warden, Sunil Garg, Mukesh Chourasia, Ashok Mishra, Roopsingh Thakur and others extended best wishes to Irland for his achievement.
