Police issue traffic advisory for hassle free Ganesha procession

Raipur Police have released traffic advisory to ensure congestion-free traffic during the Ganesha procession scheduled to be organised on the night of September 14. Ganesha Procession route starts from Rathore Chowk to MG Road, Sharda Chowk, Jaistambh Chowk, Malviya Road, Chikni Mandir, Kotwali Chowk, Sadar Bazaar, Saddani Chowk, Satti Bazaar, Kankalipara, Purani Basti, Police Station, Lakhe Nagar Chowk and via Sundar Nagar chowk to Mahadev Ghat immersion spot. Entry of heavy goods vehicles will be prohibited from Raipura Chowk to Mahadev Ghat Amleshwar, River Bridge. Vehicles heading from Amleshwar to Raipur will be rerouted to Amleshwar to Kumhari Tatibandh and Khudmuda Bhatagaon Chowk.
Vehicles from Balodabazaar to Bilaspur or to Mahasamund can take ring road-3. All the small vehicles such as cars from Durg-Bhilai will only be allowed up to Ashram tri-junction and those heading Shastri Chowk have to take ring road-1 to Raipura chowk, Pachpedi Naka. Similarly, vehicles from Dhamtari road can head towards Kalibadi Chowk, Mahila Thana, Shastri Chowk to Railway Station or Bilaspur Road. Traffic on road from Shastri Chowk to Jaistambh Chowk and Kalibadi to Kotwali Chowk to Fire Brigade Chowk from 8 pm will be completely prohibited. Likewise, traffic on road from Sadar Bazaar to Shakti Bazaar Square, to Aminpara Chowk, Purani Basti Police Station, Ashram Tri-Junction to Lakhe Nagar Chowk, Amapara Chowk to Lakhe Nagar Chowk will be completed banned from 10 pm. Parking arrangements for the devotees coming to watch the procession are made at Union Club to Shastri Bazaar road in front of Motibagh for vehicles from Civil Lines, Katoratalab, Shanti Nagar.
Parking for vehicles from Choubey Colony, Amapara Lakhe Nagar, Science College can park from Azaad Chowk to Tatyapara Lathi Nagar Chowk, Hind Sports ground. For vehicles from Tikrapara, parking arrangement is made at Budheshwar Chowk, Gandhi Maidan, Sports Complex ground beside Shyam Talkies, for Railways, for the vehicles Fafadih, Devendra Nagar, parking can be done at MG Road alley no-1, 2, 3, 4, gass memorial hall. Parking for vehicles from Pandri, Raja talab, Mowa is made at multi-level parking, old bus stand and Shaheed Smarak Complex.
