Three held for defrauding youths in name of Govt jobs

Raipur Police arrested three men on the charges of defrauding SSC candidates by issuing forged appointment letters for the posts of waterman and sweeper on the name of a fake government agency Chhattisgarh Government, Chhattisgarh Staff Selection Commission. According to the police, complainant Vedprakash Patwa, Deputy Director at the Staff Selection Commission, told the Pandri Police that the forgers had even used old logo of Government of India, Staff Selection Commission. Since, there was no such government agency as Chhattisgarh Staff Selection Commission, the appointment letters were appeared forged in first glance.
 
They even contacted on the phone number 09555327995 mentioned in the appointment letters. The contacted person at the other end of the call introduced himself as Rajesh Kumar Sahu and informed about depositing Rs 12,500 and Rs 30,238 in bank. A case under Section 420 was registered at the Pandri Police Station.
 
A special team constituted to probe the matter interrogated Deepak Kumar (38), who was previously arrested in similar case, after arresting him from Karol Bagh of New Delhi. Deepak Kumar divulged the names of Sandeep Kumar alias Sanjay Dabas and Arsad Khan, who were also arrested from Delhi. They also named one Shivam Kumar, resident of Faridabad Haryana, the mastermind of the gang. Shivam was also apprehended from the Haryana. Police recovered 14 ATM cards, one pen drive, 1 Aadhar card, names of 78 candidates of SSC, 4 mobile phones, 2 laptops, one printer, 5 dozens fake appointment letters, 6 fake cards of Income Tax Department, 2 fake voter ID card and over 1 dozen bank passbooks. Police was still probing the source of SSC data.
